The Coop is shutting its doors after two years in business. The West Cary Street collection of digital restaurants says this Saturday will be its last day open to the public.

Can Can Brasserie will open a Parisian-style cafe at the Library of Virginia on Mon., Sept. 19. The space will be open weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and will feature indoor + outdoor seating, pastries, coffee, sandwiches, and a variety of other breakfast and lunch options. 🇫🇷 (NBC12)

Henrico County has refurbished the old Highland Springs High School as the Oak Avenue Complex. University of Richmond Museums opened three new exhibitions yesterday for the first time since 2020. “Duane Michals: The Portraitist,” “Therefore I Am: Portraits from the Joel and Lila Harnett Print Study Center,” and the Annual Student Exhibition are free + open to the public for viewing. 🎨 (RVA Hub)
Sports -
VCU Men’s Basketball has released its non-conference schedule for the 2022-2023 season. The Rams’ first home game will be against Manhattan on Mon., Nov. 7. They’ll take on Vanderbilt for the first time on Wed., Nov. 30. 🏀
Festival -
Volunteers are still needed for the upcoming RVA East End Festival planned for Sat., Sept. 24 at Henry L. Marsh III Elementary. Two hour shifts are available from Friday evening set-up through Saturday night clean-up. The live music, vendors + food are free and open to the public from 12-9 p.m. 🎺
Drink -
Toast the arrival of autumn with Maymont’s Bier-Garden, coming up on Fri., Sept. 23 (6-10 p.m.) + Sat., Sept. 24 (11 a.m.-10 p.m.). Tickets are available now for both days of live music, local craft beer and cider, traditional German foods + family activities on the Carriage House Lawn. 🍻

Longoven is hosting the third event in its RPS Dinner Series on Sun., Sept. 11 from 3-8 p.m. This end-of-summer bash will support Westover Hills Elementary. A $75 ticket will get you food from restaurants including Longoven, Alewife, Pizza Bones + White Stone Oysters. 🍕
