Forget arts and crafts — try arts + drafts. Three Notch’d Brewing is celebrating their grand opening with a new, custom beer created in partnership with Three Notch’d RVA Collab House brewer Alejandro Ramos + local artist Nico Cathcart. "Mark of the Artist" is a gruit — a historic style ale brewed without hops. The botanical blend consists of mugwort, lavender, rose hip, honey + sage, delivering a citrusy, fresh taste. |

You can try the new beer starting tomorrow, Aug. 12, at the Three Notch’d RVA location in Scott’s Addition during First Tap Friday from 3-7 p.m. While you’re there, check out both of the new interior murals — impressively executed by none other than Nico Cathcart herself.
Bonus: Three Notch’d Brewing just recently expanded their taproom into a brewpub + launched an exciting new food menu. The menu features creative and share-worthy pizza pies (including gluten and vegan options), sandwiches, soups, salads, and more.* |

Kopacsi could always be seen cheering on the Rams amidst the brass section. | Photo provided
|
Kopacsi is back. VCU announced that former director Ryan Kopacsi will return to lead the The Peppas band after a six-year hiatus. Since his initial run from 1998-2016, he helped the group rise to national prominence as a standout pep band — including during the Ram’s 2011 Final Four run. The Peppas — stacked with excitable and musical Rams — can be found in and around the Stu. The collegiate band performs at sporting events, community celebrations + parades throughout the year. Stay updated on their upcoming performances.
