Billy Pie pizzeria has closed at its West End location. Owner Billy Fallen has shifted operations to the kitchen at Basic City Beer Co. in Manchester, which began serving his pies in 2020. The greater capacity for frozen pizza production at breweries has Billy eyeing three other spots for expansion. 🍕 (Richmond BizSense)

$30,817,871. That’s how much the region saw in total lodging tax revenue in the past fiscal year. That sets a new tourism record, beating the previous high in 2019. Richmond Region Tourism pointed to improvements at the Convention Center + sports tourism as key factors in the growth. 💸

The Richmond Performing Arts Alliance announced the lineup for upcoming “Legends on Grace” season at the Dominion Energy Center Rhythm Hall. The “Nightcaps & Stories” series will include personal conversations + traditional cabaret performances from artists including René Marie, Grey Garrett, and Steve Bassett. Season tickets start at $200. 🎶

City officials are gathering information about what universal pre-K would look like in Richmond. Megan Pauly, a senior policy advisor for the Office of Children and Families, spoke with VPM about the ongoing study the city commissioned from the nonprofit Children’s Funding Project. (VPM)
